A piece that is representative of the quality of her talent and craft is Becoming Bird. The death, the dying, of a dear friend. A tough time, a tough piece to write. She succeeded.

Loved the book . Loved the narration.

This is a book that I will listen to again & again. It touched me on many levels. Made me laugh. Made me cry. Made me angry. Made me cringe a bit. Julia Whelan's narration is, as always, the absolute best. I will listen to and enjoy just about anything that she narrates

I so appreciated Roberts’ lyrical insights into our shared humanity and experiences, and the way Julia Whelan brought the essays to life. This is the best nonfiction audiobook I’ve ever listened to.
