Reference 6wt 690G Carbon Fiber Fly Rod

Having not spoilt myself with a new flyrod for quite a few years, I couldn't wait for it arrive. I must say i wasnt disappointed. The rod felt amazing and was in love from the first cast. Two small criticisms that I have though are the reel seat is quite tight to use and the lack of a fly keeper hook is frustrating.

Excellent purchase - well wrapped / presented & very fast service. Rod is great to cast, even for an average caster like me. Handles fighting small (2lb) to medium (5lb) jumpy fish very well, even with barbless hooks. Very impressed.

Excellent feel and touch

Finally got a chance to get my new rod on the river. Great quality as expected but was really impressed with the feel and touch of this 6wt. Early spring water, low and clear, so casting small nymphs, 20-24s, and was able to feel the bounces on the bottom and the delicate eats. Have thrown 4wts that didn’t have this kind of feel!
