I bought this ladder because it is much longer than the one that came on my boat. I am 6'6" and 350 lbs, and this ladder holds up well to my weight and regular use in and out of the water. It has made it much easier for me to get back into my boat after swimming. Installation was simple. I used two of the existing holes from the old ladder and drilled two new ones slightly smaller than the diameter of the stainless steel screws I purchased separately. This ladder also takes up less room on my swim platform, which is a nice bonus.

Great ladder. Install was straightforward — bracket holes lined up right where I needed them on the deck edge, no modifications required. Folds down completely flat when not in use, so it doesn't interfere with the outboard wiring or anything else back there.
Feels very sturdy once locked in place, no wobble getting in and out of the water. Good price for the quality — definitely recommend if you want something reliable that doesn't take up space when you're not using it.

Couldn't be happier with how this worked out! I wasn't sure a modern ladder like this would fit well on my old Glastron, especially with the boat's original rail and cleat layout, but it mounted up cleanly right next to the existing hardware without any conflicts or needing to relocate anything.
Extending and folding it is really easy — pulls out smooth and locks into place without any sticking or fighting with it, and folds right back down flat against the transom when I'm done. The black rubber step pads give a solid, secure grip getting in and out of the water, no slipping even when the steps are wet.
Very sturdy overall — no wobble or flex in the telescoping sections even under weight, and the mounting brackets feel like they're built to last, not the flimsy stuff you sometimes see on older-style ladders. Considering how old my boat is, I was worried about finding something that would actually look and feel right on it, but this blends in perfectly with the original stainless trim and cleats. Great upgrade for anyone with an older boat that needs a reliable, easy-to-use ladder without an complicated installation.
