Folding Boat Bench Seat - Blue

My main concern was whether a double seat would feel flimsy with two adults sitting on it. Once properly mounted, the frame feels solid and the backrests don’t have the loose, shaky feeling our old bench developed. The cushions are fairly firm, which I prefer on a boat because they support you instead of letting you sink too far down. Two average-size adults fit comfortably, although I would still check the 37-inch width if both passengers are larger.

Space is always tight on our boat, especially once the cooler, tackle boxes, and fishing gear are loaded. I liked that this gives us seating for two without needing two separate pedestal seats. When nobody is sitting there, the backs fold down and make it easier to reach the gear behind the seat. Installation took some measuring to get the position right, but the actual mounting was straightforward. It has made the rear of the boat feel much more organized.

I installed this in an older aluminum fishing boat that still had the original hard bench. After a couple of hours on the water, that old seat would leave both of us sore and constantly changing positions. This one gives us actual back support and enough padding that we can sit comfortably without feeling the hard base underneath. It’s not a luxury captain’s chair, but compared with a bare bench it’s a huge improvement. The blue and gray also cleaned up the look of the boat more than I expected.
