Ford Ranger 2024-2026 Mounting Base

Almost Perfect

I just bought the base as I already had lots of gear compatible with 1” ball mounts. Unfortunately, the ball on the mount is not 1” and was also not compatible with any size adapters i had on hand. The good thing though, is that there is a second 1/4”-20 threaded hole on the top of the mount that i was able to add a 1” ball to. Now, that meant i needed to remove their ball. And while I understand why it would be hard to remove, it was still a pain. But i did get it off. The actual install was very easy and it holds like a champ. Plus, I don’t have to worry about any sticky residue if i need to remove it.

This base is NOT going anywhere! Of all the mounts I have wasted money on...I should have just bought this one first.

Good, but could use some tweaks

The mount fits as intended, but could use some tweaking to allow greater flexibility. Allowing the 20mm ball to be relocated to the top of the mount as well as offering a 1" solution would be very welcome. Buying a second locking Peak Design mount wasn't ideal, so that ram mount compatible 1" ball would have been amazing. With this being the only option on the market for a no impact Ranger mount; it is pretty good, but it could be better.
