Heavy Duty Leather Carry Handle for Brompton Bicycle

Beautiful leather and great quality however the first time you try to attach it to G Line it is very tight fitting and needs to be heated and softened a bit to get it on.

The smell of leather.

Very impressed at the quality of both the leather and the workmanship. The handle has proved most useful both when lifting to put in boot of car, folding and unfolding and also if I turn the bike around. The small leather protector for preventing scratches when hooking the front wheel does the job it was designed to.

I Have Some Notes

The leather is soft as butter. Picking it up when unfolded, up and down stairs, is now a breeze. I would have designed it differently, however, for when it's being carried when folded. The narrow end of the seat is in the way, and impinges uncomfortably on my wrist. So I hack the seat but orienting the narrow end of it off-center, at roughly the 10 o'clock position (I'm right-handed). But all together, it's what I need. I would have designed the handle part so that it is positioned forward more, closer to the front wheel. Also, the wrapper is so tight-fitting that my arthritic fingers could only snap 2 of the 4 snaps in place. I paid the kid at my bike store 5 bucks to snap the 2 inner snaps in place. Perhaps it's tight when new, to allow for the wrapper to stretch somewhat with use. It's always something.
