Machorool® FB132H 13" 2-Speed Thickness Planer with Helical Cutterhead

Very good machine

I was skeptical because I did not know anything about FindBuyTool. When the bank refused payment and I had to go in and approve the payment in person I was very concerned that I had just been scammed. However, the product shipped right away and arrived on time. The FB132H planer is well built and has a solid feel to it. I was not able to find all the features I needed (carbide cutters, 1/32 inch minimum thickness) on any other product. I am using this machine to prepare thin slats, have planed several hundred feet so far and my expectations have been exceeded. I also have a 20 inch 5HP planer, but use the FB132H more as it's more convenient to use.

Excellent finish, but extraction could be improved

The finish of the planer is fantastic! Once I got a hang of it, I was extremely happy with how it performed. I will say one negative is the dust extraction isn’t as good as I’d hope. When connecting a vacuum to the dust port there is a greater than expected amount of chips remaining on the planer table that don’t get sucked through the dust extraction. It isn’t a substantial issue as I just suck them up after a bit, but they do pile up some.

Smooth as butter!

What can I say, this thing is a beast. I did a bit of tuning out of the box to lessen snipe, but by time I had it dialed in the snip was almost nonexistent. I think the nicest feature is just how reliable repeat thicknesses are when preparing stock. The results are consistent, which is worth the price in and of itself.
