Motorcycle Tire Balancing Beads

I love Rabaconda balancing beads. I have now used them on all 3 of my tire replacements done with the Rabaconda Street Bike Tire Changer and they work great. I prefer to put the balance beads in after seating the new tire beads, so they don't interfere with the seating. This means I let the air out and put them in through the valve stem (core removed) using the supplied tube and bottle. It takes some patience and technique to get them in this way, but it's not that difficult. I have used them twice on the rear wheel and once on the front (so far), and the ride is very smooth at all speeds. People seem to worry that balance beads only work when the wheel is rotating very fast, but I have found the ride very smooth at even low speeds. I did remove the factory wheel weight from the rear wheel and do try to (approximately) line up the yellow dot (light spot) on the tire with the valve stem. This simple, reliable way of balancing your wheels is the perfect complement to the Rabaconda Street Bike Tire Changer.

I’m sure the beads work very well for cast wheels not requiring an inner tube. But, getting them into the inner tubes was excruciating. Thousands of pumps by hand on the plastic bottle that split eventually. Took on average 45 min to 1 hr per oz of beads. I would use on cast wheels. Stick to weights on spokes.
