Sigma Clicky Pen

Mechanically perfect; aesthetically marginal

This piece is a mechanical marvel with deployment and retraction action reassuringly positive every time. No doubt this pen will last a very long time. As for the weight and feel, I cannot help but to compare it to in house rivals like the bamboo fountain pen and original alpha, especially since the price is similar. It just doesn’t feel like the others. While the machining is interesting with its variety of textures, it’s as if you are meant to be distracted from the basic fact that there is much less metal here. The metal is titanium, but is very thin walled. This along with the increased diameter makes the pen feel light. Appealing to some, but not to me. For my money, I prefer the titanium bamboo fountain pen or a couple Twisted Turn switch pens. Kudos to the inventiveness here, but this is a miss.
