nightshades - DK weight yarn

I was looking for a hard to find the deepest dark blue for a gift, and the color Dashboard was perfect and exactly the right shade. It literally is black, with the dusting of blue, just as described hy Harrisville Designs! I also recommend buying a color card from the yarn company as it helped make my purchase from this store a breeze. As for the yarn itself, the cormo has a thin, rustic feel to it for a DK weight and yet not a thick yarn. It feels like the kind of yarn that will bloom and soften once washed. Therefore some may be taken aback by its rustic woolspun feel. I recommend that if knitting something close to the skin like a hat, cowl, etc make it special by knitting with a softer squishy yarn like a merino. I am using a strand of navy blue cashmere to knit a hood, and it turns the fabric into a super warm, yet soft garment. Will order again from this shop because of its prompt service!
