a beautiful, slightly unusual, classic shirt

This shirt is made of very fine wool and silk -- so fine that even I, who am allergic to wool, should be able to wear it comfortably in cool weather. I enjoy Sarah Alexandra's white shirts. I also enjoy meany compliments on them. This one, being ecru rather than white, blends especially well with woolen suits. The fine weave means that it is almost transparent. So I will wear a white or ecru camisole underneath.

Crème ?! Yes, finally!

The fashion world promotes its classic white shirt; they make it crisp, long, casual, formal. It’s a standard addition to everyone’s wardrobe. But how about the few who favor the special crème look? It’s a slight difference, but oh, what a special, antique, polished “ unicorn.” I’ve waited and waited and now, you produced it! Now, I have my very own classic!

DISAPPOINTING SEE-THROUGH SHIRT

This shirt was sadly incredibly see-through. The material was lovely to the touch, but the areas where the fabric was doubled (around the collar, down the placket) was incredibly obvious and it made the shirt look cheap. Love my other SA shirts, but this one was very disappointing. I returned.
