Acalon Woodland Crochet Hook

Overall, a very good hook, however first one had mfg defect

Overall, the Acalon Woodland Crochet hook I originally received had a nick in the throat near the tip, and caught on a lot of different yarns I used with it, but Ophire sent me a replacement after sending them a message and a few photos of the issue. The replacement hook came in quickly and while there is a very small nick in the same spot (not sure if it is an issue with the mfg process?), it doesn't seem to catch on any yarn so far, so I can give this a 4/5 as I'm not sure how well this will hold up in the long run. The handle however is wonderful and the crochet hook is lightweight and beautiful! I would prefer the throats of the wooden hooks to be smoothed out a little more similar to how the resin hooks are, but I understand there are different processes to finishing wooden hooks versus resin hooks. Very good customer service overall and I appreciate the willingness to replace the first crochet hook!

Absolutely loved this hook. It was so light weight and I had great success using it.

This crochet hook is an object of beauty. It's very grippey, which is just what is needed to work slippery yarns. It is a wee bit shorter than the "other guys" hooks, and it fits my hand just right, thank you for that! It has a nice pointy head, a deep throat, and it is light and smooth. Plus, it's beautiful. The packaging is terrific, and I love the foam collar for protection while not in use. Seriously, you had me at hello.
