3500 lb Trailer Axle With Brakes | Round Drop

Replaced on axle on my tandem boat trailer with one with brakes.. Had spring seats come loose cause my centers weren't available on selections. Local welding shop welded em for $60. Still have to buy a new 7 pin harness and wire up, but happy with product. Shipping took some time, which is fine. Install was very straight forward even considering my idler axle, and the one I replaced are square. Purchased a U-bolt kit from Amazon, spot on fit on both axle and trailer springs. Shipping cost on the other hand.... was pert near the cost of the axle. A little expensive. I'm in Oregon and shipping was close to $400. So total cost was just over $800, U-bolt kit $63, so all in around $900. Local manufacturing shop quoted about $1100. I will say this, the welding shop I took it to for the spring seats, said that they order quite a bit of product from E-Trailer, and Axle Store and have had good experiences. He said that he knows E-Trailer has an absolutely crazy phenomenal warranty program, but wasnt sure about Axle Store. If they haven't had to apply for warranty, maybe that says something, who's to say. Anyway, besides having to sell a kidney (for shipping) to get my boat back on the road.... to the water..... happy with my purchase, will probably harvest another kidney at some.point and get my idler replaced. Definitely recommend 👌
