I ordered two mugs, one matte and one glazed. Both look very elegant and minimal and are a pleasure to drink from. The handle ist the perfect size and form for me. I especially like the classy colour which indeed looks "Kyoto-ish". While the matte one looks slightly better, some might have to get used to the rough feel (the inside is glazed). The glazed one is shiny and smooth and pleasant to touch.

Another extraordinary creation from Kurasu - a subtly elegant mug that works equally well for filter coffee and milk-based drinks. The uniquely shaped handle provides an very comfortable grip, adding both function and character to the design. A perfect balance of simplicity, functionality, and beauty.
