Classic Bench Ends With Armrest

Not comfortable

I'm sorry to say it fails in the most fundamental way, it quite uncomfortable. The boards are spaced too far apart. And not only are there too few boards of back support but they don't go high enough, and I'm only 5'7. I would encourage the designers to look to Photo 2 for inspiration. A previous set I purchased, sadly those bench ends are no longer available. Photo 3 shows a modification I made, extending both the bottom and the back a few inches, making it more comfortable.

Bench Ends

Shipment was quick and arrived in good shape. I used 5‘ 2 x 4‘s. With the help of a rubber mallet they fit fine. Very pleased with the product.
