My 10 year old son absolutely loves these built in shin pads. He wanted them for the lighter weight when playing, and especially shooting. They do NOT slide, or shift around, during play....which is what I was worried about. They are comfortable, and appear to protect well (haven't had any serious direct blows to the shins yet). The "sticky socks" is something he swears by, and is happy that he has. He doesn't suit up for a game or practice without them.
