Solid Glasses

These glasses are so rad. They cover your entire field of vision and the side shields really help to minimize peripheral light. The reactiv lenses transition super quickly and have a very impressive range. Also, they just look super cool. My one complaint is that because the lenses transition so fast, if you are wearing a hat or have your face at an angle to the sun, the lenses transition unevenly and create weird dark spots. I guess that is just the way she goes with photochromic lenses but it is a bit annoying. I guess I just need to buy a non photochromic lens...

Pros -Very lightweight and comfortable during long days in the mountains. -Outstanding peripheral vision with an open, unobstructed feel. - The Reactiv 0-4 lens adapts to virtually any light condition, from pre-dawn starts to bright glacier travel. - Can be worn before sunrise while preparing gear, such as putting on crampons, without needing to switch eyewear later. - Side shields provide effective protection from wind, glare, and reflected light on snow. Cons - Expensive! - The frame, side shields, and overall construction feel delicate. - Bulkier package than other glasses takes space in your backpack. Overall, the Julbo Edge Cover delivers an impressive balance of protection, visibility, and comfort. If durability proves better than initial impressions suggest, it could easily become one of the top options for mountaineering.

Been on a glacier, volcano and the ocean and performed pretty flawlessly. Nose shield is rad since im always getting cooked. Side covers pop off pretty easily but you get used to handling them so that doesnt happen.
