Pure joy

Usually I'm not a big fan of listening church organs at home. The sensation of a live performance and the physical experience while sitting in a church listening to a great organ can't be beaten. Nonetheless I find this recording gets you as close as possible to the live experience. The organ playing by Aart Bergwerff is top notch. Very musical in articulation and selection of the organ registers. The tempi are fresh where they need to be, like the opening of the recording and touching like the first movement of BWV 527. Pure joy for the listener!
