I bought the size age 8-12 which fit me and I wear a size 7 women's. Not sure how the other socks run but in my opinion they run large. I bought them for my sons, but turns out I ended up taking them which isn’t a bad thing because I really like them.

Super Cute! Fun Designs & Soft (not tight on the ankles)
Purchased 2 pairs of the Camel Checks in size (2-3) years for my 20 month old boy. He is a size 5c. These fit him perfectly! They are fun and soft and not tight around the ankles. I also purchased pink check crew sock and tiny bow crew sock in size (5-7) year for my 4 year old (going on 5 years in a couple months) and she wears a 10.5 in small childrens. Her socks were too big, so I am saving them for her to grow into. I wish I had purchased the 3-4 years as those likely were the better fit for her for now. Either way, she was really excited to eventually wear them as she loved the fun colors and designs.
