Not necessary needed as long as you have a good bungee like the camade II. BUT this is quality right here both wires the extension/main wire 10/10 and it felt like the mouse lose a tiny weight having a good bungee!!! . If you don't have the camade ii. This will be a big improvement when it comes to feel and weight

Best cable on the market. With the pulsar bungee it feels wireless
