Has some issues mainly with the parts forming, and some clearance issues, but at the current discount price of only £12 i think its totally worth it especially for the licenced beetle mode, especially considering this mould was originally nearly impossible to track down during the wfc netflix line

As a retro card back release, this falls at the first hurdle. Bumblebee doesn't sport the 'toy' face Brawn and Gears do, which I thought was the point of these releases (and is also my preferred look for Bumblebee). That out of the way, this is another chance to get the 'Netflix' Siege mould. It's a parts former, with a big chunk of the alt mode just unpegging to be slotted on the robot's back or waived about like the world's least convincing shield. I don't mind it, as it means Bumblebee gets a good looking robot and vehicle mode out of it. Plastics are really nice and I love the bright yellow. I do wish 'bee came with the pistol he's usually seen with rather than Cliffjumper's bazooka. They look a bit silly with this. I'm not fussed for accessories like this that are just slung in to justify a price point. I think in this day and age, we've moved beyond quaint concepts like value for money. Toys are becoming like model trains - something only for hobbyists with pullovers, sensible shoes and flasks of weak lemon drink. All in all, this is a good toy and worth a punt. Just wish it had the right head.
