RX-1 Relaxed All Day Pants Blackout

I like the overall construction of these jeans and think that they have the right features in the right places, regarding pockets and belt loops. I especially like that the belt loops are organized in such a way that my flashlight and multitool stay in the same location on my waist. Stretch is critical for me and much appreciated. There are 2 construction features I don't like however; they may be inter-related. Their pattern results in a weird boxiness at the hips that I'm not a huge fan of, and they also seem to one of those pants-patterns that result in the top of the zipper always being slightly spread open. If the zipper was black it wouldn't be an issue, but as they are black fabric with a shiny silver zipper, people are always thinking that my fly is down. I'm thinking that the pattern issue that causes boxiness at the hips may be related. My other issue is that I feel that the skin-side fabric on the double knees should be something softer/smoother. When squatting or kneeling and working in the sun and heat, the sensation of the course fabric against my knees with the double layer over top is extremely uncomfortable. I have yet to work in these pants in the wintertime, but when working in the summer I will probably go with another brand. As an aluminum boat-builder, work life is already uncomfortable enough without this added grievance.

Fairly quick delivery. Great fit, with lots of stretch, very durable and handles tough jobs in rough environments. This is my fourth set and will be getting more. Have been replacing all my work pants with Huxley.
