This is a goshuincho (seal book) based on Izanagi-no-Mikoto, the enshrined deity of Omuta Kumano Shrine. The creation myth, in which the land is formed using the Amenonuhoko (heavenly jeweled spear), is depicted in an Art Nouveau style illustration, reminiscent of Mucha and others. It is designed to be a companion to the "Izanagi-no-Mikoto"
