Delicious Cake but delivery price?????

I ordered a German Chocolate cake last year for my daughter's birthday and she absolutely loved it, so this year I sent her another. She raves about the taste, but I'm still amazed that the delivery cost is almost as expensive as the cake! And she lives in Chicago where the cake is made. Not sure about next year.

Cakes were great delivery is awful

Order 5 cakes for delivery for my father's repass. Put a note for 3:30 pm delivery because I noticed the delivery window of 11am to 4pm. Called the next day to make sure a 3:30 pm delivery was possible because I would at the burial before that. They said yes. Then day of I get a call, text and email at 10:30 am to tell me they are outside the repass location. I was at the funeral. Then say they will return at 3:30pm. Then at 415 pm the arrived with the cakes. The concept of time shouldn't be this hard to understand. Food industry is hospitality and it's supposed to make life easier.

Absolutely delicious, we had a 2 layer and that was plenty!!
