A good camping hammock for the money. This is considerably better than the Amazon hammocks for the same money. The length is about 6” shorter than the specs say. This is really only good for people up to 6’.

Great Product

In anticipation of a 180km hiking trip next week, I tested my new camping hammock (Mosquito Net Hammock Nylon 210D) which I bought together with the rain fly (Rain Fly - 70D Oxford Polyester - RipStop). So I hiked way up into the wilderness to 1400 m elevation in the Coast Mountain Range. By a beautiful lake I found two perfect trees and set it all up. It's a fool proof system that is very easy to install. I recommend you carry some webbing to attach the carabiners of the hammock, instead of rope (since webbing will be much more gentle on the trees, ropes can really cut into the bark and hurt the tree. You can buy webbing in any mountaineering/climbing store) . The mosquito net is cleverly designed by a stretchy rope that reaches far. The rain fly is extremely versatile with the 4 ropes it comes with. The whole system is fantastic and I ran into a lone hiker named SAM who was so fascinated by the setup, that he took a photo of the logo and wants to buy one! Hammock Universe, if you get an order from a guy named Sam from Vancouver, he's the one! Lessons learned: make sure you have several webbing pieces to accommodate different diameters of trees and adjust the distance between trees. My 40 year old sleeping bag was not warm enough and even with a warm bag, I think what is needed is a very soft foam mat below your body (make sure it's not rigid!), since the cold will creep up from the bottom through the thin hammock fabric and compressed (by your body weight) sleeping bag. I can highly recommend this product and might write another review when I'm back from my 2 week long distance hike.There were lots of mosquitoes and I was having a great time watching their frustration because they couldn't get to me.
