I've had the same size chair without the pad.The pad actually made it a big difference.Very happy with the chair

Very comfortable, but I wish the chair was a little deeper. Otherwise a great product.

Oversized chair

I purchased this chair for a rather large friend. When I gave it to him he said it was comfortable. The only comment he made was it could have been a little wider. The reason I purchased this chair is because Portal accepted my challenge after I stated it was for a friend who was larger than the advertised rating. Hopefully it holds up as he exceeds 600#
