A huge improvement when planing, perfect repeatable accuracy and makes the job go much faster without having to keep measuring with calipers. Also I no longer worry about trying to plane all boards (or even a spare one) at once as this makes it easy to create another later if needed. The gauge was very easy to fit on my Dewalt 733 and its simple to setup and use. If your infeed table folds up then check you don't fit it too close to the edge of the case like I did as the folded table fouled one of the nuts, only by about a mm so it was easy to rectify my mistake with a slimmer headed bolt. I am impressed with their drill depth gauge but even more pleased with this one for the planer.
