I used it for the first time yesterday! The pockets are large, many and placed well. There’s loops to carry 14 shotgun shells. I felt safe with the amount of blaze orange that is on it, I got into some small burrs and they wiped right off. I struggled to put my pheasant into the game bag, so I had my friend do it for me. But once the bird was in there, it rode well. I’m 6’2” and 225 lbs, I typically would wear a Large Tall, but the XL fits me well, and I had several light layers underneath, due to the windchill being in the teens! Good coat for the money, I’m sure the other brands that are priced around $300 are nicer. But I pheasant hunt 3-5 times a year, and it will be perfect for me!

I really like this jacket. Lots of thought and creativity went into the design. Just look at the description on the website carefully and you'll see what I mean. I've been using Gamehide for 15 years now. Quality is just as good as the more, and most, expensive brands.

I just bought this jacket and went hunting with it twice since. I went hunting with freezing temperature with a T shirt and a fleece underneath and did not feel cold. pockets are wide and easily accessible. Putting a pheasant in the back pocket is sometimes not so easy, but it may become easier over the time when I'll be more used to this new jacket.
