Basically, this watch is a RED STAR sapphire that you can find elsewhere for half the price. So why pay so much? Because as far as I know, you can't find it in bronze anywhere else. With its big rounded crown and domed back, the thickness is 14.5 mm, which is a lot for a 38 mm diameter. Personally, I swapped the back for the flatter one from a Hemudu Pilot 1963, which brings the thickness down to 13.8 mm.
