513 HP Stage 1 Performance Controller | BMW F87 M2 Competition

I’ve been eyeing this for some time - once I saw the May sale, I decided to pull the trigger on this purchase and I’m so glad I did! While I’ve only had about 2-3 drives since install, there a few immediately noticeable things about this product. First (and most importantly), drivability remains the same as stock. I daily my M2 Competition and this is an important factor to me. I can drive this modestly and when I want to get on the gas pedal the car MOVES. The mid-to-upper end of the RPM range feels so much more alive and quick. If you’re not careful, you’ll quickly find yourself going faster than the speed limit. Install took me about ~1. 5hrs, but if I were to do it again I think I could knock it out in about ~30 min or less. The troubling part of install for me was hooking up the cam sensor at the front of the engine. I refused to remove any additional parts in the engine bay and there is only a small window to work with. This is really a BMW design issue, not a Carbahn issue. Overall, there are 3 sensors that need to be connected in the engine bay, along with a handful of zip ties to tidy things up. The linked install video was very easy to follow along with - it does suggest potentially having to remove the intercooler, but I didn’t have to. The app is super easy to use. Set it once and forget it - unless you’re changing octanes or want to mess around with the various maps for each octane level. I’m currently running 91 octane (best readily available in AZ) with significantly better performance. I can only imagine what running 100 octane would do to this car - I will try it sometime when gas prices simmer down. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to give their car some new life and added performance while maintaining drivability!
