Volta MAX Cable

The reason for purchasing this cable is that my previous 2 phones have had their USB-C ports fail due to wear and tear and dust in the port etc, so the plan is keep it clean and reduce wear with a dust cap that doubles as a charger. If it does that job well then it will be worth it, and so far so good. There are however a number of disadvantages: - Charging your phone while out and about is more difficult. You can't just borrow a charger unless you remove the magnet tip. I have bought some adapters to try to make this a bit easier, but of course you've got to have one with you. - The strength of the magnet is advertised as being a benefit, and at 180 degrees that is probably true. But at any other angle it comes apart far too easily. You put the phone on charge, put it down on a table, and the table touching the cable causes it to disconnect. - Sometimes in explicably it fails to charge. If I disconnect it and turn it round it works. If then put it back in its original position it works. Not sure if it's dust on the contacts, or something else. It's only a minor inconvenience. Overall it was worth the cost, but it's not without tradeoffs.

The magnetic charging system is incredibly convenient, and I really like being able to use the magnetic tips across multiple devices. The only minor downside is that the tips can sometimes be a little difficult to remove from the device, especially if they’re seated firmly. Even so, that’s a small trade-off for the convenience and reliability of the magnetic connection.

The best charging cord ever!!! I drive uber and battery stay draining the magnet connection is seamless and strong I literally have to bend the cord to release it.
