Great for untreated wood

I have a log home and have purchased other Weatherall products for the interior side of the logs many times (with outstanding results), so when it came time to protect the exterior side of the logs I didn’t even consider any other brands. I just filtered to the exterior use section and this was recommended. It is fantastic for logs that are new/untreated. But no matter how much I cleaned or how carefully I followed directions, every time I applied over old stain or even this product itself, it never dried—it stayed sticky and all the bugs and dust get stuck in it. If you touch it, you leave fingerprints. Bottom line, it’s great for new wood but it seems like you have to be very careful about not applying any overlap. (Temperature was 68-87 degrees during application, humidity 35-80%, and in full shade.)
