Big Price, Little Bass

My new cellphone is USB-C only, so I had to replace the cable for my KZ AM-16 IEM's which I bought specifically for the bass response in its bass-enhanced version. While being touted as an 'upgrade' from the OEM cable, the only thing that is enhanced is the price. It has totally transformed the sonic response - exaggerated highs and SUBSTANTIAL LOSS of the bass response. Disappointed.

I felt a big difference between the dual earphones with this quality of where exactly my opponents are by the sharp sound of the 10 drivers versus dual

It works fine but it stinks of chemicals, i don't think it's really worth spending almost as much money as a set of buds including cable, on just a cable, especially if the material quality is this questionable.
