Screen Door Adapter

Given I ordered a full length door (not a folding door) I would have expected the adapter to be full length as we saw in one of the videos. Now there is an ugly join in the middle. Also it took a lot more adjusting to fit the door than was expected. Fortunately I had someone with tools and a bit of an idea of what to do to make it fit. All up it took several hours and a couple of trips to Bunnings to get everything to fit. Having said that. the seal that goes along the sliding door to block out the draft from the larger gap that is now present is useless. Way too wide so it comes off every time I open the sliding door and has now lost its stickiness. I’m having to look at other alternatives to keep that section blocked.

Initially I struggled with the installation, having to remove the top extension and then I couldn't reattach the lock. I rechecked the videos and ordered the security extension. It took me about ten minutes to install it and all my problems were solved! Now just to convince the cats that this flap will work as well as the one in the laundry!

We purchased the LaLuna door second-hand on Marketplace in the cream colour we required to match existing door frame. The adapter was purchased from LaLuna to make the doggy door complete. The door latches/locks were relocated also.
