"Colvin" Jeans Skirt 18" Doll Clothes Pattern

Lots of Detail!

I love denim skirts, and this one has lots of cute details. Pockets on the front and back, box pleats on the hem, and plenty of top stitching all add up to a great skirt, but what really stands out to me on this skirt is the fit. The combination of hook and loop tape plus a waistband snap solves the frequent problem with jeans flies not staying closed well, and the darts in the back (while sometimes a pain in a small scale!) give this skirt an excellent fit. (Would love to see a jeans pattern from this same designer … I think she could end my ongoing search for the perfect jeans!)

To cute to pass up

The Colvin Jean skirt is a pattern that is just too cute to pass up. I have now made it in both the wellie wisher size and the 18 inch doll size and love the finished product in both. I found the small skirt easier to complete as I did find the box pleat ruffle instructions a bit challenging on the bigger skirt. I di get it in the end though, and am totally satisfied with this skirt.

This Jeans Skirt is So Cute

Lots of detail. The finished skirt does not look "home made" but can compete with any high priced outfit doll clothesmanufacturers offer. I added additional nail heads to the back pockets and made the Flossie Potter Tam Cap in the same denim with added nail heads to match. I will now make a complementary T shirt, leggings and vest to complete the collection.
