Our older arthritic dog was having trouble going over the threshold. Sometimes his back hips would not support his weight and he would collapse on the cement sidewalk. We got the midnight black soft step mat. Now the step isn’t as deep and if he is having problems he now has a soft landing. His nails do not get caught. He loves laying on it as he watches over our yard. We absolutely love it and highly recommend it.

It's a high quality door mat or kitchen or space mat that is soft to step on, good to look at, and hopefully long wearing. I like the fact that it is made in the US too. I also see from the label that you can also stick it in the washing machine if it gets really dirty, although I didn't see any instructions as to how you would dry it, as it is absorbent. Maybe Rope Co. can enlighten us there? So far very pleased though, and hope they will consider doing some special edition colors down the road, as if so, I will be purchasing another!
