Alaska bound from San Diego

They look and fit great. I bought one for my son and one for my husband. They seem substantial for our July trip to Alaska. We're from San Diego so don't really need heavy jackets, though we camp in the mountains and these matly come in handy .

The jacket is beautiful. I love it, but it's too big. Can I trade it for a size smaller? How much of a hassle would this be?
