After 50 years of backpacking and bikepacking my new X-Dome is by far the best tent I've ever owned. Last weekend while bikepacking the Sky Island Odyssey in southern AZ, I pitched the X-Dome for the second time in the dark with gloves on. Piece of cake. 20 mph wind and rain all night. The X-Dome performed like champ. It's an amazing piece of architectural genius. Kudos to Dan and his crew.

Great backpacking tent
Recently decided to give this tent a try after spending a couple of claustrophobic nights in my Big Agnes 1P CS. I’ve been out on two quick trips and I can say without a doubt that this will be the tent I use going forward. It’s very easy to set up and the fact that the inner and outer components of the tent can stay connected is a game changer for me. It’s really spacious on the inside and the vestibule gives me plenty of room for my gear. I went with the short poles and they work really well but if I had to order another one I would likely get the long poles as it seems like it might be simpler when setting up. Overall very happy with this tent and if I can ever talk my family to go out with me I’ll have no hesitation in ordering the 2 person version.
