Chocolate Raspberry

Good balance of chocolate + raspberry

I first tried this particular flavor combination after buying a bag at a great little shop a few years ago in Dillsboro, NC. I'm pretty finicky about flavored coffees, so my primary daily pots are brewed from unflavored freshly ground whole bean roasts that I've found to be novel and enjoyable. However, after noting that Carolina Coffee Works offered this particular flavored coffee while I was in the process of selecting a few of their whole bean offerings, I thought I'd give it a try. My first two pots were made using a mix of this grind and some other freshly ground coffee in an attempt to not get an excessively flavored beverage. Neither met my objective, so I thought I'd simply fall back to using this grind by itself. That definitely did the trick, with my wife even complementing the result (she's not particularly a chocolate lover or a coffee aficionado), so I'll certainly be buying more of this coffee in the future.
