Fruit Shrewsbury Biscuits

Fruit Shrewsbury biscuits are one of those timeless classics, and Sawley’s has done them proud. The buttery biscuit has a lovely light crunch, while the juicy fruit adds just the right amount of sweetness and chew to keep every bite interesting. They have that reassuringly traditional flavour that’s becoming harder to find these days. They’re not trying to reinvent the biscuit, they’re simply made exceptionally well. As an ex First Class cabin crew member, I know the best journeys are often the ones that get the classics right. These are the sort of biscuits I’d happily serve alongside a proper cup of tea at 35,000 feet. The only problem is they disappear from the plate long before the drinks trolley reaches the next row!
