Fall Die Off Blocks the Entrance

I’m really disappointed in this product. I had high hopes, but it’s been a major failure for my hives. I’ve already lost four hives after using these boards, and I ended up pulling them from the other two before I lost those as well. The core problem is that the bees can’t clear out dead bees effectively. As the fall die-off ramps up, the number of dead bees exceeds what the colony can remove, and they start piling up at the entrance. Eventually the entrance gets blocked, the remaining bees can’t get out, and the colony dies. I liked the idea of protecting the hive against yellow jackets and robbing bees, but would like to see a solution to address the need for the bees to vacate the dead bees.
