EM272Z1 Single Unit XLR Version Microphone

Highly affordable, but that shouldn't set you off. The build quality is outstanding. The microphone casing is fully metal, the cable is soft thin and quite strong, and the XLR plug really is on the premium side. At least, the biggest windscreen that is included performs quite well, otherwise its the only one I am using. On the other hand, this doesn't mean that this microphone is all perfect. I still give it 5 stars, but what i don't like is the fact that the capsule and the casing of it freely rotates at the connection with the wire. It's very useful if you use it as a lavalier microphone attached to a shirt, but my application involves a lot of vibrations that might result in noise at the rotation point in the capsule. I had to use some zip tie to hold it in place, but nonetheless if you don't move it around too much it's fine. I would have proffered that the contact would be tighter. Rotating it while recording results some noticeable noise but that is due to the nature of the metal pin in contact. I believe its hard to fit in a potentiometer-like structure in such a tiny casing, so ill leave it at that.
