I could not program it because of faulty old key, But I opened the new key to check the battery and the front half of the key fell open with the spring pressure under the blade and when I turn the key to the start position the front section wants to open up around the blade so it easily pops open, so I'd say it's poorly moulded, but it does open and close the doors Greg
