Kailh Platycodon — HiFi Tactile Switch with Satisfying Bump | 45gf · 80M Cycles

These switches are a fun creation from Kailh. They don’t use the typical box stem that Kailh uses, so it’s a simple task to change the spring to your liking. I had some Durock 2-stage gold-plated 67g springs lying around, and these seemed like a unique replacement for the single-stage s/s 43g spring that came in stock with the switch. Key press feels better to my liking, especially with the short travel distance due to the long pole. No stem wobble. They’re pretty scratchy and they’re a light tactile. Some switches either had a weird abberation from the stem or the leafspring was bent in, so the tactility isn’t the same from one switch to another from my batch. Still, I’m fond of them. Probably a good switch to work with if you see them on sale and want to mod them. Not something you want to buy and use stock right out of the box imho.
