Edge on knife was not sharp out of the box. Actually it was rather dull.

I love my new EDC blade

This is a great little knife with a sharp D2 blade, and awesome grips. The sheath has a nice firestarter, although I will be using this for EDC vs. outdoors. It's easily removable, and I threw on a Ulti clip for deep pocket carry. One issue I had was the pommel, which had a corner on it that dug into my hand. So, I dipped the pommel in Plasti Dip a few times, which put a coat of plastic on it, and now the knife is perfect.
