My previous charge controller required separating it in half to install the cables. And once closed you could not see the markings for Pos or Neg. The Victron was easy to install and running my mini freezer with no issues.

Good enough is perfect

I use this controller with a 50 watt panel to keep the batteries on my boat charged now that the marina power is out for repair. It takes just a few house in the morning even with overcast days to get the battery voltage up. The panel is on the deck so it gets morning, noon, and afternoon sun. I use the USB port to power an old phone that is a hotspot so my boat monitor can report conditions.
