Do not buy this bee house. There is no "craftsmanship". it arrived with burrs on almost every hole and quite a few of the holes were not drilled out completely, leaving lines of wood that had not been finished out. I contacted the company via email and was offered a 30% discount, or I could return it at my cost, to Hong Kong. They did nothing else after I responded to this information. I am doing a charge back since the company does not stand behind their company. I'm now seeing that others have had these issues too. Update: After speaking with my credit card company and asking for a charge-back, Craft Folk refunded me the entire amount the next day.

the holes and contact area for the bees are supposed to be sanded like glass but half of the holes have jagged pieces of wood at the entrances so the bees can't even get in without getting hurt. totally misleading and the quality control is awful. Just looking at the house when you package it would tell you it was not ready to be sent to a customer trying to help their bee population. it would be great at getting rid of bees in your yard I guess.

I read the reviews while awaiting my shipment and unfortunately I found most of what people said to be true. The holes are not carefully drilled, most sharp wood shards projecting into the holes where bees will travel back and forth. It does not seem like the amount of care was given to match the asking price. I may have paid half the price. On a totally unrelated note - Craftfolk may not have had much say about the delivery driver, but I watched him on my Ring camera launch my item onto my porch from 7’ feet away. May want to consider a different company for your more fragile deliveries. Additionally, the tracking notifications indicated my item was to be delivered today for 5 days before it was actually delivered.
