Premium boots, but with one caveat. .

Overall, I'm happy with my boots but I would be lying to say that I wasn't a little disappointed at the same time. You can tell that these boots have a premium feel to them, but I believe they missed the mark. What makes a Porsche a Porsche? It's in the details. I received my boots and was pleased with the packaging. I opened the box and was greeted with the luxurious smell of leather. The packaging inside met my expectations, and then I pulled my boots out of their bags and as I started to inspect the craftsmanship of these beauties I started to notice things that let me down. On one of my boots, the snake skin had a nick in it, a blemish, that was very noticeable. Some of the paint or die to the leather sole where it meets the snake skin, and the execution of the shaping of the leather was not what I was expecting from a boot that retails for $600. Little details about the boot were sloppily executed and I seemed to notice all of them. Underlayers of leather or material were not lined up and over hanging in places. A white scratch in the black leather of the shaft. In total I have 7 pictures of flaws that I found between the two boots, but the review only allows for 5 pictures to be uploaded, so I picked the 5 best examples of my gripes. Don't get me wrong, these are nice boots. But, I guess I just expected better. I was expecting all the details to be precise and they weren't. To a small degree they were the complete opposite, sloppy. For the most part they are executed up to par of what I believe they should be, but just MOST part. I won't be returning them, and I am happy with my purchase so far. I'm just not completely happy. I don't see how anyone paying this much for a boot would be COMPLETELY happy with some of the sloppy execution that went into the construction of this $600 pair of boots. If they were $150 boots, I don't think I would be so harsh, but my gripes are valid and these flaws DO exist. They just do. I do think I will purchase another pair of exotic skin boots from Rodeo Cartie. I just hope that my experience is better next time, or they may be the last pair of boots I purchase (plenty of other premium boot makers out there that would like my money too).

Extremely happy with my recent purchase, there was a little issue with a shipping delay, but Rodeo Cartie did everything in their power to expedite and remedy to problem. Once I received my order the craftsmanship is truly remarkable. Boots are true to size and extremely comfortable. I will definitely be ordering more boots from Rodeo Cartie.
