Anagallis tenella, commonly known as bog pimpernel, is a delicate, low-growing perennial with slender, trailing stems and small, bright green leaves. From late spring through summer, it produces tiny, star-shaped flowers in soft shades of pink to lilac, creating a subtle carpet of colour over damp soils and shallow water margins.
