I was involved int he editing of this book, so know it, and Shirley, very well. I loved the book and over the number of times I read there was also something new to discover, despite having the Murrays for friends for 30 years! Given the scope of material which was necessary to cover in this biography, I think Anne Manchester made a great effort to structure it clearly and make access easy for readers wanting particular information.
